Saw this beautiful old Ford in St.Johns Wood, London today. The seats inside were torn and old, but it was still being used to deliver Persian carpets, of all things. How cool is that, especially when it looks like a strong breeze will floor it!
Anyone know much about these types of cars? I know nothing, other than Ford is an American company, but would love to know more. Its proper fab tho, loved seeing it, totally out of place!
Uploading early coz work and removal van this weekend, no chance to think, let alone take photos!!! oooh, and just realised, my 100th photo, yay!
EDIT: I went past it again today and took the name of the shop it delivers for and its here: http://www.zadah.com/links.asp
WOW! I love it!!!!!!!! My heart would have been racing if I had seen this, especially if I had seen someone driving it. My husband might know something about it, but he is at work at the moment. I'll ask him tonight. Part of me thinks it would be fun to live in a world where these were the kinds of cars on the road ... a slower pace? By the way, I totally love different expressions from other parts of the world. I've never heard the term ... "it's proper fab" ... but I adore it.
Congrats! A hundred of very good picture and interesting stories. Go Freida go! How did you find this name?? Or let me ask why did you choose this name?
Congrats -- an amazing photo for your #100.
If my sister and I had been having a photo adventure and come upon this car we would have gone CRAZY.
If my Dad were still alive he would be able to tell us all about this car as he was a great fan of antique cars. My husband says MAYBE its a 1926 Ford Model T -- but that is just a guess.....
"proper fab it is for sure" , looks like Mary poppins should be riding in this little belter !! ... Ford was known to be available in any colour so long as it was black back in the days this little gem was built .
super find (o;
Great car. I dont know anything about this except it is a Ford. We have a 1929 Ford model A. It is for sure a model T. The only color Ford would do was black. And you could fix anything on it with only a few tools. You can look on any site and get all the info. about this car. Or look on Henry Ford site. Love the pic.
