Even though we went to a local park & walked around this afternoon I ended up using this picture taken on the drive home. I had a gazillion pictures of the frozen lake occupied by hundreds of geese & ducks but just couldn't get too excited about them because the Bald Eagle stalked for my picture of the day stayed just out of my reach. I had dozens of pictures of him but none that were clear enough to post. Next weekend I'll get him! :)
@geertje Thank you!! :) I did some tweaking on it along with several other images in LR3 so I can't remember exactly what I did on this one other than I know I used a "warmer" on it. It was one of those days when a picture just did not come easily! :)
Thank you all for your most kind comments...I had high hopes of being able to salvage at least one of the Eagle shots yesterday but he just wouldn't cooperate at all! Maybe he'll show again next weekend! I need Santa to bring me a bigger lens because that 300mm just didn't get the job done! :)
You've captured this very nicely. It's so hard to get a good image once the leaves are off the trees and everything is so brown. This is really pretty!
Thank you for your nice comments. I do like Picnik. I have Aperture on my Mac but haven't purchased any plugin to change up the image. So Picnik is it for now. I agree with being restrained if you want to create photos versus graphic art. Both are lovely and it just depends upon a preference. I try to stay more natural most of the time. I like what you did with this shot.
@digitalrn@stepheesue@alecio@zodiaque A great big thank you for your comments. Sepia tones seemed fitting....not much color happening around here lately! :)
@wac Thanks Wendy! I've always liked the natural, sooc look too and thought it was cheating to edit BUT I must admit since I've started this project I'm really loving all the creative editing I'm seeing here and I've begun to experiment with some post processing. I've never been able to figure PS out but I have started dabbling with LR3 and now Picnik....there's a whole new world out there! :)
