I seem to be stuck in a rut lately with my photo repertoire and this morning I was literally in a rut in the middle of a cornfield. I looked out the window about 6:20 this morning and noticed the sunrise was looking like it had potential so I grabbed my camera and took off to catch the sunrise! I ran down the field about a 1/4 mile to get to the spot I wanted to shoot and after loosing the feeling in my fingers since it was only 37 degrees and twisting my ankle a couple times I finally managed to get some shots off before it was gone. The neighbors are probably wondering WTH is wrong with me lately....night before I was laying on the ground on my back just before dark taking pictures of a tree, yesterday afternoon they drove by and I was on my knees under the evergreen tree taking pictures of pinecones and this morning I'm sprinting down the cornfield for no apparent reason....you guys get it though don't you??? :)
To get this shot, I would twist some ankles :) Amazing, again!! I often wonder what my neighbors think when I am laying in the middle of the wet road on my belly taking pictures...
Excellent capture of the whispy clouds. And look at all that colour. Wonderful, Paula. And yes, I do 'get it'. The neighbours will also think I'm crazy once the weather starts warming up and they see me taking pics of who knows what /where. . ;-)
I so get it! I spent the a good part of the day crouched down in weeds taking pics of bumble bees! Paula, this is totally gorgeous! Who cares what the neighbors think! :0)
totally get it...and anything for the shot..but your rut is an amazing day for me. love your shot...love all your shots. We were talking about you today Stephanie DP and I. and how blown away we are by your work.
I am still LOL!! First of all, this shot is stunning! Love it! I am just glad you didn't get too hurt while running to get it! Secondly, I completely get it!! I was just saying to my husband the other day that I will be out early getting shots and it's not until I am heading back to the car that I realize I just may have frost bite on my fingers!!
Very nice rut to be in. And, yes, I absolutely get it! I hear I've gained a reputation in the neighbourhood. This is such a beautiful shot. It was worth all the hard work and twisted ankle, wasn't it?
Stunning! I love the clouds! I think we all have a kind of reputation in our naighbourhood. A few days ago my neighbour was asking me what I was doing, laying on my back in the backyard... (taking pictures of flying bees). And I always walk with a camera stuck to my hand. But most of the time it's really worth it, like in this shot!
What a gorgeous sky and colors! Do you know I was actually driving down the highway yesterday and thought to myself "Wow, that's almost a Paula Fontanini sky!" LOL Of course there was no where to pull over.
What gorgeous results!!! You have a wonderful, artistic eye, and if the neighbors ever ask you, you have lots of beautiful things to show... ;-D This is another amazing shot!!!
You should be a stand up comidian. That way at least you will be in an upright position! You are funny and gave me a laught over my lunch hour. I am sure all of our neighbors think we are completely nuts. But, then, maybe they are onto something. I don't mind a bit. This is lovely and well worth th injuries!
Beautiful! I love the foreground and the background! My neighbors must think I am crazy. They used to look at me when I came out with my camera. Now, they look away! They must not like looking at me when I get down on the ground.
I do get it...you are an intrepid photographer. It's all about the shot! :) And this one is worth a sprint through the cornfield! Simply spectacular! Beautifully photographed, Paula!
Beautiful shot Paula!
Glorious shot, truly stunning!
fabulous sky again, location and colours
