Went out for a bike ride today and came across a swamp or pond, not sure what it was, but it was FULL of turtles...most of them were clear on the other side so I couldn't quite reach them. These were nearing the outer limits of my lens capability too but I tried to salvage it the best I could. It was one of those days....lots of great photo ops but everything was just out of my reach. Ah, the frustrations of photography.
Wow, you managed to get a turtle picture. I'm envious. Turtles usually dive when I'm still yards distant from them, with or without a camera. You must be a turtle charmer.
This may have been at the outer limits but I would say you salvaged it quite expertly. Love the reflection and what's not to love about turtles on a log. Bring on summer!
Great capture with your 300mm lens! Love this shot! It looks like this turtle twosome was posing for you on that rock. The lighting and the reflections in the water are marvelous. And I love the springtime look to the pond with all of the bits of pollen and such floating on the surface. Wonderful photo, Paula!
I'm suprised they sat put..usually when approching they slide into the water. I took a few pictures off turtles while on vacation in Mexico this January/February. I love your picture and will fav. it.
These look great Paula, and I love the reflection of the turtles in the water. When I try to photograph turtles they usually jump in the water. They seem very camera shy!
