I was stalking a large bird, I'm guessing a vulture and ended up flushing out a deer that was hiding behind a tree next to a little stream. He came bounding out, ran across the road in front of me and off he ran into the field. Since I totally missed the bird shot I'll have to settle for this little guy since I didn't have much of anything else to post today. Not great, but it's my picture of the day! :)
I love this, Paula. It's captured perfectly . . just as these beautiful animals look as they race through the fields. It's funny, no matter how many deer I see, and we have tons near our cottage, I always stop and watch until they retreat. That's a lot of deer watching. Thanks for all your comments. I do so appreciate them. I'm enjoying spending more time on the processing end but lots of things do not get done because of it. Oh well. The struggle for me is that idea of do I get it right in the camera or get it right in the processing? I'm deciding it's a combination of both.
@barbsmith Thank you Barb! :) I think my husband is beginning to regret me ever starting this project.....it's extremely time consuming but it's great fun and a great learning tool as well. I think the pictures dictate how they need to be handled....sometimes the perfect picture just falls out of the camera effortlessly and other days (most days) I can't take a decent picture no matter what I do so I resort to transforming into the image I wanted it to be! I used to think editing was cheating but now I figure why settle for an ok picture if you can enhance it's beauty by tweaking it a little bit! :)
