When we cancelled New Year, L suggested we meet up. We needed to arrange to see F anyway to give him his Christmas presents, and L fancied going to The Botanical for lunch so Kew Gardens it was.
Had a quick present exchange with F on his doorstep (he's waiting for the results of his PCR test before coming back into circulation) before meeting L and P at the Victoria Gate.
Had just about enough time to do a quick tour of selected Kew highlights. Went up the Treetop Walkway where I intercepted a message from Peter who was worried that M hadn't rediverted the on-call number. I couldn't get hold of her but asked Jennie to log in and do the diverting so all sorted. And a quick circuit round the lake.
By then it had started to drizzle and we headed back to the restaurant. Lovely to catch up and very tasty and well-presented, interesting food. Gravadlax, celeriac wellington and a pear tart.
Had just enough time to have a quick peek around the shop before catching the tube home. A vegging out late afternoon watching Pretty Woman. F and C came back this evening. P and T drove F back and they stayed for a cup of tea and a chat. Watched Around the World in 80 Days after.
