Other parts of the country got snow. Zilch in London other than a flurry mid-afternoon which you would have missed if you blinked. But we did get the loveliest low morning light creating long shadows as I walked through the parks. Extremely cold - had to dig out the wool coat and gloves.
In the office, I was mildly alarmed to overhear the chap sitting at the desk next to me say to someone on his call about how his daughter had COVID earlier in the week. What the feck you doing in I thought (unless he'd recently had it himself or his daughter didn't live with him). A number of meetings - both mine and his - meant we weren't actually together at the desk all that often. Phoned up the Turkish restaurant asking about a big booking - they'll need a £50 deposit. Let's hope we stay COVID-free, deposit is non-refundable.
A vain visit to M&S after work - apparently they only stock my preferred knicker design online now - and they had no opaque knee highs.
3 good things
1. Pretty red breasted geese in St James's Park - made a change from the ubiquitous Canada geese and Egyptian geese.
2. A drop in temperature meant I could wear my nice newish teal gloves from John Lewis.
3. Horrible Histories - such a clever series.
Such a pretty park…no snow here either thank goodness!
It’s strange how our ears are tuned into the word covid! I met someone in the village the other day & she quite blithely said her husband had covid then coughed! She works at the local hairdressers & it’s been closed all week as the staff all except my niece who owns it have covid. I stepped back pretty quick sharp.
How long before the party ….not long hopefully!
Wonderfully composed shot. My first thought that the girl was being followed, but then I Iooked deeper. Maybe its my over active imagination, LOL. Now I wonder would that theme re-emerge though, if the scene was in monochrome, and in the dark?
@phil_howcroft@gavj ha ha, I am such a colour fan, I deliberately rarely post in mono, I probably even zinged up the colour here 🤣 maybe I'll have a go for the lols...
Lovely light, crisp cold days are pretty! I preferred the sunshine last week :-) We had that mini flurry too, I thought it was blossom coming off the tree initially!

Contre jour always lends itself to a good mono , just saying :)
