At the Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne, there is a lake habitat for various species of water fowl. The gardens are establishing flora to suit the environment. To survive early stages of development, these are covered by white netting... hence the background. I was fascinated by the way this bird, while damp was preening and drying for the next dive.
