Picked up this pretty pink platter on sale from some local creative design company. They give a new lease on life to discarded preloved objects. Here a silver cake platter. (sadly though due to copycat cheap imports - they've stopped this design line and will focus on new projects) I found the lovely vintage side plate in a second hand store.
