Black-headed gull

I took my grand-daughter to the park. This gull was very obliging and stood still for me.

I have no clues about these kinds of birds but did wonder what they eat?

@honestabe It always surprises me why they should choose to live so far from the sea. I can only presume that they eat anything they can find. I imagine they get pretty well fed from with bread from the visitors.
