Well it wasn't quite a wash-out at the local May Day celebrations. We usually dance on the green but it was much too wet - and still raining - so we danced in front of the church instead. I was surprised at the number of people who turned out in the rain.
Glad to see that your May Day event was not cancelled. We went to Ickwell for the May Day celebrations and found that they had had to cancel it due to cars usually having to be parked over the grass and of course it was too soft after all the rain. Such a shame as the Queen of the May and her attendants, etc. usually dance round the May Pole
