I had a lovely sunny walk round Paxton gravel pits with a friend this afternoon. There were lots of herons, cormorants and ducks around the lakes, but too far away for my camera to pick them out clearly. We also saw redpolls back at the visitor centre but again not very clear. This view between the trees was the best I could do.
I love to go to Paxton Pits, funny thing we nearly went on Sunday but decided on Anglesey Abbey. Is it very wet at Paxton Pits at the moment, would we need wellies? Love how you feel your peeking through the trees, nice composition.
@lesleyallen No it's not wet at all now. There was just one area near the river where the boats are moored, which showed signs of serious muddiness, but it's easy to get by without getting muddy now.
