Through the window

We visited the newly opened Ashmoloean museum in Broadway. This is the view from the window of the museum looking up Broadway High Street. The museum itself is housed in a former Tudor Coaching Inn and has displays of art and furniture collected by Elias Ashmole around 1683. It also houses more recent exhibits as well as some very modern furniture. A lovely building and well worth a visit.
Combined with a club sandwich and pint of Old Hooky at the Kings Head in Mickleton, a quick peruse of John Noots contemporary gallery this is my idea of a perfect day out!! A super view of what must be one of England's prettiest High Streets.

Love the way the frame surrounds the museum.

Broadway is so lovely in itself even without some great museums to visit...I have only been once but always remember the pretty main street.

I don't know this area at all - but have put it on the list of places to visit. Thanks for the tip.
