Sculpture

This is one the new chain-saw sculptures at the Swiss Garden in Bedfordshire. The redevelopment of the gardens was 6 years in the planning and the gardens were closed to the public for 18 months. It has retained it's 'Regency picturesque' style although the sculptures are new and have used some of the wood from trees which had to be taken down during the restoration.
Its a bit like the NZ koru - fern unfolding! He's pretty good with his chainsaw!

A super sculpture and capture - love these natural sculptures --were they been done in situ ?

@beryl I'm not sure if it was done in situ or not. I think the fern part was actually attached to to the base which is a very large tree trunk. I may post some more sculptures tomorrow and if I do a collage I could include the whole of this one which is quite large.
