Vintage tea party

A friend invited me to this lovely garden in Meppershall this afternoon. It was to support the local Sue Ryder hospice and in memory of two local ladies who had recently been cared for at the hospice. The garden was a mix of pretty borders. arches, pathways, open areas, a small pond and even an overgrown tennis court! And of course there was tea and cake! What a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
Happy Independence Day to those of you on the other side of the pond.
I like nothing better than to go to one of these events specially on a glorious afternoon like this. You can have a good chat with friends old & new, a bit of something to eat & a good nosy at someone else's house & garden!
