Cologne cathedral by busylady

Cologne cathedral

We've been on a ten-day rail tour of European cities. On our way to the first stop - Berlin - we changed trains in Cologne and were able to catch this choir singing the Hallelujah chorus outside the magnificent cathedral.
Great capture, must of been lovely to listen too. Love both these cities. We were in Berlin in August and we often go to Cologne for the Christmas markets but this year we are going to Berlin Christmas markets. Which other cities did you visit? Bet it was a great rail tour hubby often plans ours.

@bizziebeeme We went to Prague next, then Budapest and Vienna - just got back last night at 10.30 after a very long and tiring day!

A ten day tour sounds amazing.
And you got to see some lovely places...I'm envious.
Great capture of the choir!

Sounds like a great whistle stop tour. Are you tempted to return yo any or all of the cities? This must have been wonderful to listen to!

@pamknowler Oh yes, we'd love to go back to Berlin - we only had one day there and there's loads to see. Strangely I wasn't so impressed with Prague but we loved Budapest and the Vienna State opera house tour was just wonderful - I want to go back and experience an opera!

@beryl Actually we didn't get to hear much of the choir as this was just a quick walk outside in between trains.

Perfect timing...and the cathedral works well as a backdrop.

Must have been a great atmosphere outside the cathedral. Lovely to have surprises like this when travelling.
