Planting beans by busylady

Planting beans

I've been growing broad beans in pots over the winter and have put them in the ground on the allotment today. They grew rather leggy during December when the weather was a very mild 15 degrees. However, the recent cold spell has been good for them so hopefully they will now thrive in the ground.
3 good things:
a lovely sunny afternoon,
roast beef and yorkshire pudding
Call the midwife and Night manager on TV later
How nice to be growing your own beans and what a lovely photo to log it in your photo diary! I like the sound of your 3 good things too!

Must be good to get out and plant in the allotment. Your beans look very healthy - lots to look forward to.

Wonderful!! Nothing like home grown vegetables!! I do admire you having an allotment - too much for me to look after. Oh yes The Night Manager - I really enjoyed that last week.

Love eating them but when I tried growing them the blackfly were a nightmare. These look healthy and look no weeds!

@pennystot Yes the blackfly were a problem last year. Hopefully these autumn grown one's will resist the blackfly this year.
