Our allotment now has a committee, a community plot and a brand new communal shed where we can meet for a cuppa and to swap plants and ideas. I popped in on Saturday and found this Turkish coffee urn sitting on the table. It wasn't working but there was tea and biscuits in the 'kitchen' and the atmosphere was very congenial.
The heart of the allotments! It all looks very sociable & a very impressive urn, there won't be many allotment sheds with such a posh one! I have been lent a book called Ivy Lane which is a story revolving around allotments. I have only just started it, quite light but it seems an easy happy read.
What a good idea to have a communal shed.
