I was lucky enough to be at Wimbledon yesterday with my daughter. We had a lovely day and saw the match between Kyrgios and Stepanek on Court 2. The weather was perfect - until about 4.30 when the rain came. Still we weren't disappointed as we saw some great tennis and also spent some time on Murray Mount while Andy Murray was playing. This is Kyrgios in action. He's a real character and his Aussie fans (in the yellow shirts) were in fine form.
A super capture. Used to enjoy going to Wimbledon with my kids when they were young. This was in the days when there was standing in the Centre Court, and the time of Evert and McEnroe.
What a great match to watch Judith, he is such a character, looking forward to his next match with the long dreadnoughted Brown! I entered the ballot for Wimbledon but no luck!
Just caught sight of your profile & see you & Peter have a new grandson, many congratulations! Not sure when that profile was written, could be out of date when I think about it but congrats still stand.
@happypat I also entered the public ballot but only got tickets for court 1 on the last Friday. We decided not to accept those tickets but to wait for the tennis club allocation. I actually chose court 2 when I could probably have picked centre court. I much prefer the smaller courts where you can be nearer to the players, not under the cover up in the gods. We were lucky with the weather - I'm glad we didn't go today!
