This was my first service since March, and only the second one since we have been allowed to meet again. It seemed strange seeing everyone wearing a mask. We weren't able to sing so we just listened to some lively versions of hymns on you-tube. We had to leave straightaway after the service finished by a different door to the one we came in. No coffee or socialising! What a strange world we are living in.
3 positives ) it was good to be back seeing each other again
2) there was a christening and a welcome for our new family worker
3) a lovely version of Christ Alone was played showing other Methodists singing from their homes around the country.
Oh how good that you can meet up again. Our church hasn’t opened up yet....no idea why as there’s plenty of room to spread out! Lovely to hear how you went in & I love your simple stained glass. Fave.

NIce you're able to do this. But I get a feel for how it must be - I tend to describe some of the experiences that we're getting back into (performances, eating out) as oddly joyless. But it's the way it's got to be for a while.
Lovely photo and good to get back at some level but it's so 'not church' when you can't sing or chat to someone close by or have a cuppa.
But lots of online services so that's something. And God still with us!💛
Remember when it started and we thought it would be back to normal long before this. But little by little we can get there and meanwhile we can have experiences to capture.
