Mohammed Aly mosque, Cairo

We managed to fit in an extra visit this morning to this beautiful mosque in the centre of the citadel. The citadel was built as a fortification in the 12th century. The mosque, built in the 1800's, was owned by Mohammmed Aly. He was known as the leader of modern Egypt, and reigned as leader for 43 years.
