Chinese Bunkhouse, Britannia Shipyards

This reproduction is an example of the bunkhouse quarters of the Chinese labourers employed at the canneries and the shipyard. These bunkhouses had 75-100 indentured labourers who were supplied by Chinese contractors. Most of these men never saw their families again. In my main folder I have posted a picture of the Caucasian men’s bunkhouse.
