Granville Island, formerly an industrial site now houses trendy shops, restaurants, a boutique hotel, a farmers market and an art school. Ocean cement is the last remaining industrial firm on the island. Much of the cement it produces no doubt found its way into the high rises seen in the background. The decorated cement silos, two of six visible in my photo, are much photographed by tourists.
This is such an interesting scene. The modern modular buildings, the painting towers and the bridge make a good composition along with the person walking through the scene.
Excellent shot.
