June 2nd, 2018: While admiring the view from the Bluff Hill lookout in Napier, we saw a group of young people flying a drone out over the port below. They told me they hadn't had it long and were still learning how to use it. Even though I've seen some good video and photography done with drones, I find them a bit 'creepy'. When it flew over near to me with its little propellors and red blinking lights, I had to resist the urge to bat at it and knock it down!
John @nzkites was also interested to see it and I have a feeling one of these might now be on his wishlist for the future. Hmmm...!
