Double-trouble

We put up a larger birdfeeder last weekend and so enjoyed all of the different varieties of birds that appeared. That is until these Starlings (I guess that's what they're called) showed up. I call them black crows. They're mean and just overtook the birdfeeder and made a mess. I do not like them!

Great capture of these two and nice details showing the texture of their feathers and the weathered wood. fav (They appear to be common grackles.)

How fun, that is one way to get some good shots.

This is a great shot of them but they look mean. When one feeds birds as you do, you get them all. I have wanted to but not with our pool as it would be a mess. My Mom did for a while and then it got out of control and birds like this starting showing up and she stopped. I wonder how so many people keep it under control.

These are male grackles not starlings. You can't help but love their iridescent markings, but they can be a bit overwhelming at the feeders. They love to congregate in parking lots. Great shot, Cindy!

You caught some great details on these grackles! We used to have a huge amount of them in my backyard - up to 15-20 at a time. They would scare everything away and yes - they do make a mess! ;)

Wonderful focus on these trouble makers... I hate to see them appear at my feeder as well. Just like obnoxious people, not welcome!
