Chatter by craftymeg

Chatter

My favourite squabbling, chatterboxes, having a rest between arguments. Taken this afternoon down on Redcar seafront. The light caught their petrol plumage showing how colourful they can be. The temps today were 16c so much better than of late.
Nice on black

@gq
They are called Starlings and they gather in huge clouds to roost and just before they settle they make the most beautiful patterns and dance in the evening sky. It's called a mummer and is worth watching if you can find it on the net. People go out with binoculars to watch the spectacle.

@gq

the mummeration is beautiful to see.
I think I took a photo of a starling yesterday too and the light hit the colours just right.
