A closer look at this unusual looking style that I photographed the other day. I can’t say I have ever seen another quite the same so it does stand out even in our neck of the woods.
It marks a puplic footpath across the farmers fields, which looks very appealing to walkers.

I like the idea that farmers allow the public to cross through their fields. There are often places I'd like to go (right across the street for one) but would need the owner's permission to do so. The American's are very possessive about their land and sometimes, I'm afraid, with good reason,.
