Before the rain

Just before the heavens opened I took a photo of our first flush of roses, I think they wish they hadn’t bothered, it’s 8C temp today wet and like winter!!

I once was visiting my son when he was furthering his medical studies in Stoke-on-Trent and a shop lady I befriended asked me "So how do you like the U.K." My quick reply was that I didn't like the weather. Then she said "That is why we have all this greenery". So I guess you have all the flowers you want and have to withstand the rain while we have lots of sunshine and few flowers.
