Commondale by craftymeg

Commondale

As we took a trip over the moors yesterday I caught this young ewe sheltering from the wind. The rust of the bracken shone in the sunlight behind her and for October the grass is very green. The ewes are growing their sheared coats but not fast enough for the cold temps we have had this past week.

She's nestled in there, between the 3 textures, so nicely.

Funny sheep - almost looks like a goat! I do like the green with the contrast of the bracken!

What a treat to see something like this as you pass through. Livestock around here is fenced in, unless it's "on the loose" and then it's been corralled back up.
