Well at least that’s what I call it, it’s the vertical pier at Redcar taken this afternoon. The weather was cold temps of 4C, grey, blustery strong winds and sleety rain. A wonderful day to be walking along the seafront I don’t think!! The only folk braving it we’re doing so to take their dogs for a run, none of them lingered, the wind chill made it freezing!!

Interesting building. You're name for it is very appropriate. The concept of a vertical pier is interesting. Not sure what the purpose might be, unless it takes one down to the level of the beach.
