I’m amazed they turned out again!! I can bake, cook meals but my Yorkshire’s were a mystery, each time I made them they turned out different but the recipe I’ve posted is more or less foolproof!
Recipe curtesy of Mary Berry.
Best on black
100grms plain flour
1/4 tsp salt
3 large eggs
8fl oz/225ml milk (I used soya and skimmed milk)
4tblsps sunflower oil
Heat oven 200c/200fan/gas7
Put 1 tsp oil into each hole of a 12 deep pan tray ready to heat in oven when it comes up to heat. Heat this oil to really hot for about 5 mins.
Put flour and salt in a bowl make well in centre add eggs and a little milk beat with electric mixer and add milk gradually, mix well pour into a jug. (You can use a wooden spoon to mix if preferred).
Quickly divide the mixture into the 12 pan tray and put it back in the oven cook until well risen and golden brown about 20-25 mins
Enjoy!!
For those who have never tried them, they are great with any type of roast dinner the centre filled with gravy, the best being roast beef!
They can be frozen and heated from the freezer in a hot oven for 10 mins or heat from cold for 8 mins or until heated through.
They can be mixed ready to cook for up to 2hours before needed.
