Yellow Spotted Salamander by cwbill

Yellow Spotted Salamander

My Biology teaching daughter took me with her to see a local nature preserve to see salamanders which have been trapped for scientific research. These amphibians migrate in late winter to vernal pools for mating when the weather warms. This is a female which is full of eggs. These salamanders which are trapped are counted and released back into the pools.
