This morning a group of javelina were on our back patio in our unit eating birdseed which my wife had put out for the birds. I opened up the door just wide enough to shoot out the crack. The large male was intrigued by my camera and came right up to the lens. I even changed out lenses and shot some macro shots of their hair and eyes. Pretty cool experience.
Lucky you! What a great surprise! Hubby and I camped near San Pedro River a few weeks ago and saw our first wild coatimundi. I knew that they lived in AZ, but I never thought I'd ever see one of those.
