I was walking along the Marina with my son and this yacht captured my attention. He told me it belongs to the parents of his college roommate. I've met them and they are such down-to-earth people. He once flew the boys to Tennessee on his private jet so they could see the Gators play UT. Such is life!
I think it's wonderful when our children can be the beneficiaries of such friendships and generosity! We've had our turns through life, and lovely that they're having theirs!
@Weezilou He has an amazing group of friends. Though most of them are now married, they try to get together on a regular basis. When he was a freshman in college, he and a friend added up that they knew over 20 people (their age) who had died, so they learned the importance of friendship. Some people never learn.
And how is it possible that your son is that old?
