@granagringa Yes...the photos I botched were at my nephew's wedding. Ugh. They had a professional, but these where when he was dressing. So sad. There was much angst that went into the camera buying decision. I put it off for months! I was not a Nikon fan! I wanted another Sony but really didn't want a mirrorless camera right now. This Nikon has the LCD screen that pivots (a requirement for me). It is just amazing to me how much more there is to learn. I had to go to an actual store to hold it in my hands. A good friend guided me towards the decision. The thing that tripped me up was that apparently the card wasn't pushed in all the way and yet it still "took" photos. They displayed on the screen, too! Just didn't write to the card. I am going back to the camera store tomorrow because they encouraged me to come back anytime. It's really a relic of a shop...photographers go and hang out there. I had been recruited at the very last minute to shoot my nephew getting ready and I obviously wasn't prepared.
Thnks, Danette...lcd screen that pivots is new to me, so I'll add that to the list...My lical camera store...same type yoy describe, is suggesting the Sony mirrirless! So confusing. I'm heading there tomorrow so will get to try it out! Again thnks...and happy shooting...btw, That'sjyst awful about the card seeming to work when in fact it wasn't! I didn't know that could happen either!
@granagringa Sonys are great. It was hard to get me away. There are benefits to the mirror less. Don't let my decision sway you. The person who first helped me was a professional concert photographer. He had many good things to say about Sony and they weren't even a seller of them yet!
