Visiting my son in Tampa. Since they bought this house 11 months ago, they have endured Hurricane Irma, resided the home with Hardiboard, painted the exterior, rebuilt the front porch/pergola, replaced the front door and relandscaped. He says they are going to take a break! It is a lovely old home in a beautiful neighborhood where the other homes are much larger and considerably more expensive. This is the second time he has lived on a brick street.
@calm I'll have to try to find an old photo. The old wooden siding was a sage green that was peeling everywhere. The trim was a reddish color. The inside is beautiful but the outside was just sad! They plan to live here a while.
What a darling home and what a lot of love they've poured into it! I'm a firm believer that you appreciate what you have all the more for the effort and time you put into making it your own. It's a lovely story...a beautiful street and a story to share with their son as he grows up!
