So far in this project, this is my favorite "capture."
As I was preparing to cook some meatballs in a cast iron pan, I threw in some olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan. When I looked at the oil, I saw my new paint job in the reflection, along with my cooking knife collection--a collection I cherish as I have multigenerational knives on this wall above my stove (my father and I love cooking knives).
The oil was a perfect mirror, and I have several shots of the progression of the oil surface, which went from calm and precise to heated and warbled--so several shots have different images in the mirrored surface (or at least new versions of the images).
I could not think of a better photo for me--all the things I love (including my new paint job in the kitchen) but not necessarily obvious on the first glance.
And technically, I took this one last night, so I'm off by a day, but I had already posted my "Caution" red paint pic for yesterday. Will not do this again, but I had to use this photo for today because I loved it too much to not display it!
@judis He,he! It was all by accident, but I've told myself to really open my eyes every day for a new shot. I'm not a photographer, but I love photography! Thanks for commenting!
