I think every kitchen has an "everything" drawer, but today I went into my father's kitchen and noticed he has an "Everything Cup": sweetener (one still has some left), business card, tea bag, bag clip, duck sauce, and the all-important meat thermometer. The cup? It was made by me in college when I took a ceramics class--so it's the most touching part of all. I graduated in 1987. :)
Today, I had intended on catching a lovely photo from the gardens where my father lives, and I did go armed with my photo bag (this time with a card, thankfully) to use my Canon Rebel in some new way. Instead, time got the best of me and I went around his home frantically seeking a good shot. I have a feeling that the daily capture is going to haunt me--I plan on a shot I'd like to take, but I'll be searching for what is right near me. Fortunately, the Everything Cup is is everything I needed for today. Thanks Dad!
