Well, today officially begins Spring Break for my chickadees (my human kids, not to be confused with my bird kids). Aidan decided to give herself some fancy nails before we head to Florida for some sun and beach activity. Am I ready? No! Will I be ready? Soon.
This shot is pretty funny because now that we've removed the screen from the upstairs office window, we are opening it. I was down outside the front door watching a hawk in the distance, hoping to use some advice from my good friend Vee (on camera settings)--so I was stalking a bird too far in the distance, and Aidan was sticking out her decorated fingers and saying "look at my manicure!" The hawk lost out. The manicure won!
I love the blue! Monday, we depart--It'll be me and four girls (taking some buddies for my kids). Pray I survive.
Love this fun shot. Have a terrific time in Florida. I've found that it helps to take their friends along on such trips. And it can be a great way to bond with all of them.
@judis I also have to work there--so if they have buddies to go into the small town to shop and look at the boats in the harbor, all the better. May even leave Sunday now! I can't wait to see what I'll be able to shoot now that I have some better experience under my belt! Last time I was there, I got my best hawks photo ever!

@cimes1 Thanks for the follow! I'll follow back! Congrats on Year 2!! I'm hooked on this site and I've learned so much from all the wonderful people here (about to start my 4th month). I love Orlando. We are going to Fernandina Beach Monday--my brother has a house there--my father grew up in Jacksonville, so we love the area! We will be in Orlando later in April for my daughter's band competition!
