After a breathing analysis and chest xrays, I have been diagnosed with acute bronchitis and an infection. I am now armed with a steroid shot (sort of stung), antibiotics, and an inhaler in the event I need it.
But this was the waiting room of the new Dr.'s office I went to--such mod chairs and a huge curved wall of a big barrier reef image--across was a massive fish tank. If you look closely on the wall of the reef, an illuminated lamp glows inside--so best viewed Large. I took the shot and edited it with my phone (Samsung S3)--cropped on the computer in Windows and then finally in Picmonkey.
I'm completely and utterly spent, so I apologize that I will not be commenting on all your photos today. I wanted to say how thrilled I was to see that two of my photos made the PP this week--"Another Rainy Day" and "Chuffed"--wow. Thanks ever so much--your comments and visits mean so much to me.
I'm so sorry to hear this and wish you a quick recovery. The amazing thing is that despite it all, you've created a wonderful shot -- sort of abstract with great pattern/lines. Feel better soon!
@taffy@foxsparrow@judis@danette@witchyjacq@rossevs@mace508@twistergirl@gsanemone@nicoleterheide@alia_801 Thanks everyone. I'd like to attest to the power of a steroid shot! I can breathe, I can breathe! I really was struck by the opulence of the waiting room--believe me, all my past experiences were with small and rather unappealing waiting rooms. This is a huge practice and new to visit. Had to capture the feel in case the cost is going to be too high to revisit--let's hope my insurance actually has them "in network"--sigh. But I can breathe!!
Very cool repeating lines and shapes. I love it that even when you are not feeling well and at the doctor's office no less, you are aware of photo ops! Hope you feel better soon!
@pflaume What's funny is that I took the shot and edited it on the phone while in the room waiting for the Dr. and waiting for xray. Kept me occupied and got my photo all ready for the crop when I uploaded. A win, win. I think my phone camera did a half-decent job. I feel muuuuuuch better -- steroid shot did the trick -- life saver. I even slept last night. It's amazing what medicine can do when absolutely needed. :)
@masosy I feel much better today. MUCH! It was an amazing waiting room. Makes me wonder if the bill pays for that more than care? But it was a good visit and I got all I needed -- so very happy I got in a shot and am feeling better. Thanks for the lovely comments.
Oh Daryl I am soooo sorry to hear you are unwell, that is 'pants' (!) I so hope the medication kicks in soon and gives you some relief. What a very fancy waiting room, I'v never seen anything like it. I'll be in touch with the info soonish, need to eat and have a break!
@jo13 hehe, pants, yes! The steroid shot worked magic yesterday and I'm at least breathing ok today--it was a little scary yesterday a.m., though, I'll admit--never felt so bad. This waiting room was over the top--just hope my bill is not going to sink me.
I hope you feel better already! Congrats on your double PP, I suppose that will also help you to cheer up a bit :)
I just can't believe that you remembered to take a shot in the waiting room, while sick. That's a commitment :) Lovely shot, love those arches and editing!
@lunaksi I am feeling better--miracle of a shot. Thanks, and congrats right back at ya! Taking the shot in the waiting room was good because I edited it in all the in-between times at the dr. going to the xray room, and waiting for diagnosis. Killed two birds with one stone. Good that my phone has a decent camera to help with 365 addiction!
