Well, I made it outside despite the rain -- it's a bit depressing. I chased bugs, I tried to get a water droplet. Then I saw the onion shoots. What little and beautiful bouquets they are!
So I plucked one, tasted it (yup, onions), and then proceeded to play with it in my fingers and against different backgrounds. The blue here is from my solar-powered lantern in the back yard! The others have the lines of my skin included--like onion paper I thought.
@vskolnik It worked so well! I kept thinking the awful rainy blah was not going to get me today, and luckily I walked around with my onion sprig long enough to experiment with backgrounds and bases (my hands). It was a good day.
I don't think I've ever looked at an onion so closely . . . (can't digest them so I tend to avoid them) but you present it so artistically here. The bouquet image is very nice.
Wonderful shot, the splash of blue sets off the delicate buds of the onions perfectly. The buds remind me of tiny white rose buds gathered into a bouquet.
