Word's gotten around I like spiders. And looky, looky, this black widow was in my neighbor's garage (got a text to come on by!). It was hard to catch this lady--she was an active one--but here's the best one!

Holy hell, watch out. In HS, someone brought one of these in to class in a cup for show and tell in biology. And we were crawling with them in Cali. Great shot. Fav!
@bobfoto They are pretty cool -- no stings here. I had to tell my friend to let me know when I was getting too close with the macro clip--I sometimes can't tell. :)
@steampowered Yes, I was scared! My neighbor reassured me that his internet research revealed I would not die most likely, but I'd have to have all kinds of shots and it would be quite painful. We did our research (or he did) before I went about trying to get a "shot."
@steampowered I tried that lens to no success. Tried the short lens with flash. It was in a corner by the garage opener. But the macroclip finally won. She was moving too fast to get all in focus.
@grammyn Awww, thanks Katy. Thrilled! Now I'm trying to get on to a "forced perspective" shot...I was doing some awful stuff today. Seems hard for me! :)
Oh my freakin' gosh! This is so great. How is their garage able to produce this white background effect? You'd think it would be dark as you know what. This is fabulous! fav
