Thanks to @momsta who has challenged me to do a "forced perspective" shot, which I have been playing around with now for 3 days but did not have anything to post until today.
I have been struggling with the fact that I don't have a partner to get this challenge done (you know, some kid who will move a bunch and have a head on a stick or something). I'm busy these days in the evenings, and they are in school!
So I will not tell you how I did this one (you have to guess first!)--but it is, indeed, forced perspective. Will try another one tomorrow when the light cooperates. :)
Last, sorry, HOTDOG, I am in the throws of grading and last week of class--comments will be rare. I'll be announcing the ETSOOI-20 winner tomorrow. Keep voting until midnight tonight (and wow, my email is clogged--that's a good thing!).
Very clever. The refracted light is the center of attention, and the added light on the hand completes the image. I like this much better than the B&W version.
You used a prism to cast a rainbow? You put a lightup rainbow under waxed paper? You said, "shazam!" and a rainbow appeared? Clever, however you did it!
@jyokota Yes, I say "shazam" and things happen! HAHAHA! It was more accidental as in I walked around the house with my magnifying glass and it cast a prism on the wall. I had some tweezers and I backed away from the wall so it would be a "forced perspective" angled the tweezers to look like it's capturing the prism. Oh, but then the light from the front hallway was seeping in through my hand giving the extra light effect. All totally random. Or is it? Dum, dum, duuuuuuuuuum! I've got a new idea today, but I may not have time. Last two days of term. Grading is my life.
