Going nowhere, and I'm perfectly happy about that! It was so nice to wake up slow today and fix a nice breakfast! This is my favorite week of the year. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of all holidays. Family will gather; friends will gather; friends of friends will gather. 12 so far for the table. I will cook and cook and cook.
I love your holiday spirit as well as this lovely collage of goodies! I will be cooking, too, and I'd better get easy with all I need to do. Have fun! :-)
Neat breakfast collage, this would have made me ready hungry, except for the fact I have just had my dinner. Like the fact you have Dragonflies buzzing around your breakfast.
@cimes1 Thanks Carole! You just reminded me to order the turkey!! If I wait until the last minute, I'll be stuck with a 20 pound turkey to cook! We will have 12 folks, family, friends, and friends of friends. Have a great time!
Great collage. I love having nothing to do. My family hates that, though. They think we have to be on the go 24/7. But it wears me out. But, today, the boys are out in the woods, so my daughter and I are heading to the mall for some retail therapy.
@homeschoolmom Sounds like a good plan! I took my girls and their friends to the mall and they had a blast. Today, I have a "bit" of work, but after that, I'm going to just relax! And plot menus. :)
@darylo Oh yes thanks Daryl, skipped breakfast, so it went very nicely. Roast pork, steamed baby potatoes, cauliflower, carrots and white carrots, that's Willows name for parsnips.
ooo busy week then Daryl, so glad to be your partner for get-pushed this week, my push will reflect this holiday time I think so you can be focused where you need, but I will think and fine-tune it and get back to you a bit later OK? we don't have thanksgiving here in New Zealand, so the finer points are a mystery to me., except for the mandatory turkey and pumpkin pie!
@kali66 Thanks so much for that--it will be very busy, but a time I absolutely love. Funny you say mandatory turkey and pumpkin pie. My husband is the traditionalist (Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing); I'm the non-traditionalist (I like exotic choices, or a cooking challenge that is new)! My father and I gather in the kitchen all day and plot and plan and have fun. Everyone else comes with something to share. Oh, please let me do something regarding this week. :) I have no idea what to assign you as you are, in my honest opinion, quite fantastic already at everything! I'll give a look later today and have something for you soon.
well I will just issue the challenge of Thanksgiving, and see what you come up with to educate someone from the antipodes as to what the essence of the holiday is for you. :)
@psychographer Oh, I hope he enjoys! Today, we are starting our prep for the annual gingerbread house we bake and construct over the week. We demolish it Thursday after out feast! :)
This is so inviting! I am imagining a gorgeous table set for the family and wonderful food to eat! We are going to my stepson's who is an awesome cook, but they've discovered a place where dinner will be ordered from and delivered, giving him time to spend with us, instead of being in the kitchen. My only task is to make roasted veggies. I feel very fortunate!
Lovely collage and Thanksgiving is the only holiday I really look forward to! Even though my husband and kids do not allow deviation from a very boring menu!

We have 5 college students from various countries celebrating Thanksgiving with us so my husband will be cooking, cooking, cooking.
