Winter Abstract

Just outside my window, there's a bunch of icicles, so I took my nifty-fifty and opened up the aperture nice and wide! Beautiful bokeh with this lens. I think I'm in love. Still working on photos I took yesterday--lots of sledding. Atlanta gets two inches, proceeds to have a total-chaos-shut-down because of ice and traffic. We were lucky to have kids who could walk home. Others were not so fortunate. One thing, though, my city helps everyone out (at least the folks do, not the government). I'll keep my mouth shut.
Lovely image! I was listening to NPR yesterday about the weather-related chaos in Atlanta. Hope things are much better today.

Great icicle and bokeh - and as fun commentary. Also enjoyed reading the write-up you did about yourself. Trust things are returning to normal - or close anyway - for you folks.

This is great, Daryl! I like that you have the ice captured but convey some sun or at least bright skies. And the 50mm DoF is really wonderful!

@twistergirl We got 2 inches of snow and it started to melt the next day with the icicles. It's almost all gone now. Next up I 70 degree weather. The weather is on Crack. But we have been warned for some time now...
