Here come the leaves! The blossoms are starting to fall and the leaves are progressing. With the Bradford Pear, the leaves at the top will develop first and the trees look sort of funny with these green spires sticking heaven-ward while the blossoms still cling to the bulk of the tree.
In the last week, I suspect all of the petals will be gone. Spring has sprung in a big way here. In just a day, my cherry has popped and plumped up! The birds are having fun playing in there too. Hopefully, I'll have a nice shot next week of a full blossomed bud (may have to cheat early if they start to fade).
Monday starts my last observance of these plants. If they don't make it to bloom, I'll find some from last year I know I took of the plants to show you their final form. OR, I'll continue into April until the things bloom, but I think I'm ready for Abstracts as long as I can do them.
Today was soccer, watching Divergent with 5 teens (made a pit-stop at this tree on the way--they were like, "Oh, Mrs. O'Haaaaare..."), and getting stuff done that needed to get done. Going to read my new book tonight. Catch up later tomorrow! D.
