Hummingbirds are such beauties to watch while I eat my breakfast on the patio (which today was an egg, turkey bacon, and some cherries, with a nice cup of coffee). I completed my first six days of a new food plan for me--tomorrow, I can eat anything I want. I have missed four things that I shall have tomorrow: juice (just a bit), calamata olives, feta cheese, and pickles! Otherwise, it's been a delicious (albeit a pain to cook every meal) week.
My evening consisted of going hawk hunting with my hubby in tow--good for him, he found one of the Cooper's Hawks eating his meal in the tree. I am going to make a collage of his movements and then his "cleanup"--also, saw a dead raccoon (head only) in the field where I search for them. These guys are most likely the culprits (given there are four to feed).
@redy4et I sit out there every morning for about 30 minutes eating breakfast and watching. Then I sit and work with settings on my zoom lens. Nothing is perfect and there is lots of post editing to help with clarity and to eliminate noise--that's my biggest problem--not enough light to take the ISO down and tighten the aperture while making a super fast shutter. They'd have to be out in a big well-lit field for me to really get them well! But I still try. :)
@grammyn Oh, dear, I wish it was like one of Vee's! My can't get her focus or light, but I love watching her shots more than anything, so a gal can dream. You are sweet for saying so. Vee is the best!
