Oh, well, today was a nice day. Cleaned up a bit. Waxed poetic about the 365 experience and let others know how much this place means to me (and hopefully it will encourage newbies to come join the fun). I also really am very excited for all the folks who will end their projects on the 31st. I'm really glad mine ends in January, but that being said, I know that hitting that magical 365 number is a big deal! Even if it's the 2nd, 3rd, etc. year!
Tonight, I joined my good friend, her sister, and their friend for a night at our botanical gardens. I came here last year and I was supposed to get a shot for my fellow 365 friend when her son was going to propose at the Botanical Gardens. But a family emergency came up, and I could not be the "photographer" for the event.
Tonight was RAIN. So I did have a few heart attacks trying to get shots, but I survived, and so did my equipment. I liked this shot and another that is very much like a shot I took a year ago (before the madness took over--see my last few weeks of Dec. 2013). Anyway, this is a huge garden topiary (I call her the Goddess) and there is a fountain and water flows from her open hand. Lit up, it's really quite stunning!
I'll probably post my other shot for tomorrow's spot. Meeting another old friend tomorrow I have not seen since about 8th grade! Whoosh!
Happy Holidays everyone, and keep working toward your final shots of the year!
