I cannot believe these guys came out to look at me! They usually duck down low when I exit the door in back and the parents tut, tut, tut (more like a bird growl) to warn them to "be still"--but they could NOT help themselves. Just to be clear, I DID see 4 of them in there today. The one in the middle (Curly) is the one with lots of guts. The one on right, however, had me in stitches when he tried to get his head out for a peek too just as I snapped the shot! I was on the cusp of being too close for focus (had my zoom lens on), so this is as good as it gets folks. I just love these guys so much!
@pflaume Thanks Lisa. I heard our local barred owl last night and I kept getting up to make sure it was not coming to attack the house. I'll feel good when these guys are not such sitting ducks, but they provide so much amusement all day long!!!
This is soo wonderful!! I'm following your bird family like they are outside my door! I'm so glad they've survived all the trials and tribulations so far. Hopefully, they are gutsy and strong and will have long and happy lives entertaining us all!!
@taffy Thanks, I always worry that I'm doing too many shots of these birds, but I like to think I'm telling "their story." :) @dinette@ness50 I had to do it--they are really like stooges! @andyn You are so right! Maybe like the cranky uncle in the Donald Duck series too? Endless fun with these guys.
@mothervic@nicoleterheide@jo13@irishmamacita10@swagman@kali66@tara11 Many thanks everyone for the visits and favs and comments. I was out all day and did not get much of a chance to check in on these guys, but I loved telling my parents about them and we are all in stitches from how funny they have been. Again, many thanks for the visit!
