For the next two weekends, we have big occasions happening at our house. (A 7th form reunion and mum's 90th birthday). As a consequence, there has been lots of spring cleaning and refurbishing going on! This lovely couch was recently given to us from mum - it was a wedding present to them, and we have just had it recovered. Funnily, I had always wanted this piece of furniture, as I thought that dad had made it, then recently I found out the real history...
So, I would like to know who made that beautiful spiral staircase in the background! That would yield a few wonderful shots from different perspectives....
Looks fantastic love the pop of colour in the 'boat shed' cushions... Nice to have a bit of furniture that has a bit of history.. I have my Dad's 'Carver Chair" ..
@panthora Yes it's a neat staircase - my husband made it from an old power pole. Behind the 'new' piece of furniture is a church pew that we use along one side of the dining room table.
Dianne, this is a lovely shot of a portion of your home. There is nothing any more precious than treasured family items, especially furniture that one can use and enjoy.
